InfoPass

InfoPass

InfoPass is an Internet service provided by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) allowing individuals to use the Internet to schedule appointments to see a USCIS Immigration Officer in person. For routine matters, like requesting a certain immigration form or checking an applicant’s case status, there is no need to see an immigration officer in person. However, for more complex and pressing inquiries that can only be answered in person by a trained immigration official, InfoPass provides USCIS clients with a convenient way to schedule such an appointment, making it unnecessary for the client to travel to a USCIS office and wait in line for the next available USCIS official. To schedule an appointment using InfoPass you must have a computer that is connected to the Internet and that has an Internet web browser such as Internet Explorer or similar. When showing up for the appointment the client must bring a print-out of the appointment notice received via the InfoPass service, along with valid government-issued identification and any immigration documents related to the case in question. If you have already used InfoPass to schedule an appointment to see an immigration official, but you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, you can do so by using the InfoPass service as well. Just make sure you have access to the identification numbers printed on the appointment confirmation noticed you printed out when you made the initial appointment. If you cannot make your appointment to see a USCIS official, it is important to cancel the appointment.
